NIJ 0101.06: A Global Standard for Ballistic Vests and Ballistic Plates
NIJ 0101.06 is the most internationally recognized standard for evaluating the ballistic resistance of ballistic vests and ballistic plates. Developed by the U.S. National Institute of Justice (NIJ), this standard establishes the minimum criteria that a ballistic vest or plate must meet to provide a certain level of protection.

Levels of protection: From IIA (lower) in vests to IV (higher).

Ballistic tests: Analyzes the type of ammunition, impact velocity, product trauma, perforation, non-perforation and number of shots.
Tumbling: This test subjects the product to extreme conditions, simulating the passage of time to ensure that it complies with its useful life.
